Credit and my warmest thanks go to ...
DOUG HARRINGTON : I first came across fractals back in 1999 after downloading Doug's Amazing Seattle Fractals screensaver. I was inspired by this to try creating my own fractal artwork, downloaded Tierazon, a free program written by Stephen Ferguson, and followed Doug's tutorial. From then on I was hooked, and Doug was a great source of help and encouragement when my first webpage went on-line. He also agreed to be my first guest artist, and included one of my very first images in his guest gallery. Thanks Doug!
STEPHEN FERGUSON : who has written so many free fractal-generating programs.
FREDERIK SLIJKERMAN : The main program I use these days is Ultra Fractal - a very versatile program written by Frederik Slijkerman, now on its fourth version. Please check the
:: resources :: page for more information about all the programs represented here.
SYLVAIN PAGOT, who wrote the php script "SPGM" currently used for displaying the galleries on this website. The script is available to download and use as freeware from his website : Simple Picture Gallery Manager
MY FRACTAL FRIENDS : Since May 2000 I have had the very fortunate opportunity to become one of a truly great group of friends, who have been a constant source of support, encouragement and inspiration. They know who they are! My warmest thanks to all of you, and special thanks have to go to:
Edward Perry : who wrote the fantastic perl tool that has enabled me to incorporate my own html design into the huge number of pages that now exist, enabling a consistent look'n'feel throughout.
Michèle Dessureault,
Dan Kuzmenka,
Klaus-Peter Kubik,
Andreas Lober,
Dennis Magar,
Samuel Monnier and
Edward Perry : who have willingly shared their private ideas and formulas, and without whom I would never have been able to create the images I have.
"FRACTALUS" et al : Damien Jones,
Janet Parke,
Kerry Mitchell, and
Mark Townsend - who work so hard to consistently provide enormous support and inspiration to the fractal community at large, through the running and maintenance of the ultra fractal resources page, tutorials, archives, formula database, infinite fractal loop, mailing lists, contests, galleries of many artists ... the list goes on! My sincere thanks to all of you!
