The Children of The Mask
This set of over 50 colouring methods designed and written by Andreas Lober to be used with Ultra Fractal (UF), started out as a collection of inspirations and ideas from the UF library, which have been integrated using his own ideas and the "old" akl colourings.

It was developed over a period of many months using a combination of deep thought, a sketch book, a little bit of function theory, and much tomfoolery.

Each formula contains many different features, including traps, skips, lattices, cut-outs, several textures, masking and colour limitations. These features can all be combined in a new and unique way to produce some revolutionary imagery in the art of creating fractals.

It has been the aim for all the formulas to have the same Look'n'Feel, which should enable you to apply easily what you learn with one formula, to all the others.

Please use and enjoy them! And feedback about usability is always welcome.

The formulas are also available as part of the Ultra Fractal Formula Database
The following people have kindly given their permission for their formulas to be used in the development of The Children of the Mask Formulas, with many thanks:
Michèle Dessureault
Damien Jones
Klaus-Peter Kubik
Kerry Mitchell
Samuel Monnier
Mark Townsend
Edward Perry
And a source of inspiration has been the fractal galleries of
Gedeon Peteri and G.W.F. Albrecht
The following people have all contributed to the development of the akl-m.ucl, through their hard work over a period of several months betatesting the formulas. As a by-product of the testing some good examples of the images that can be produced using the ucl have been made, a few of which are displayed in these galleries. Please enjoy them as much as the workers / artists have done creating them.
